Following a series of regular online meet-ups for our members, ITI is expanding its exchange formats with the ITI Crosstalks: intimate conversations that create space for open-ended reflection, associative thinking and broader perspectives on international theatre work.
For the first ITI Crosstalk, Felix Sodemann will be in conversation with Ada Mukhína about her artistic practice in the context of theatre, energy and extractivism. In her artistic PhD Energy: Burnout Artist in a World on Fire at the Interdisciplinary Institute for Open Arts at Mozarteum University Salzburg, Mukhína explores how performative media can help us rethink our current energy culture.
Ada Mukhína is a nomadic artist, theatre-maker and partner at SWITCHCRAFT WERK. Her political, investigative and participatory works have been presented internationally. Her latest lecture performance SWITCH explores global energy politics and sexual power dynamics.
Following a 45–60-minute conversation, the discussion will open up to all participants. The Crosstalks are intended to thrive on the perspectives of ITI members and guests. In the future, members are also invited to help shape the format by suggesting topics and guests or by taking on the role of moderators.
ITI members are warmly invited to bring along interested guests and potential new members.
