Yvonne Büdenhölzer

President

Head of Suhrkamp Theaterverlag, Berlin

 

studied German language and literature and education in Bonn and works as a dramaturge and curator. She was the artistic director of the Berlin Theatertreffen (Berliner Festspiele) from 2012 to 2022, and from 2005 to 2011 she was responsible for the Stückemarkt. In the season 2009/10, she was curator and festival manager of the Theaterbiennale Neue Stücke aus Europa (New Plays from Europe Theatre Biennial) in Wiesbaden and Mainz. She was a lecturer at the Free University of Berlin and a member of the Council for the Arts. Her work focuses on gender equality, among other things, and she initiated and co-curated the ‘Burning Issues meets Theatertreffen’ conference. In 2020, she received the Berlin Women's Prize for her commitment to equal opportunities in theatre. Since 2023, she has been the head of Suhrkamp Theater Verlag.

 

Holger Schultze

Artistic and Managing Director of Theater und Orchester Heidelberg

 

Artistic and Managing Director at Theater und Orchester Heidelberg since season 2010/11. Member of the board of the artistic directors' group and, since 2011, chairman of the committee for artistic issues in the German Stage Association. In addition to the festivals Heidelberger Stückemarkt, Heidelberg Schlossfestspiele, Winter in Schwetzingen and the Tanzbiennale, he established the Ibero-American theatre festival ¡Adelante! in 2017. An outstanding focus of his theatre work is international projects, such as the recent ‘La flauta mágica/Die Zauberflöte’ (directed by Antú Romero Nunes) with five cooperating countries.

 

Tobias Veit

Vice President

CEO of Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz, Berlin

has been working at the Schaubühne since 1999, initially as artistic production manager and, since 2012, as CEO. He studied directing at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst "Ernst Busch" in Berlin. From 1998 to 1999, he worked as production manager at the Baracke am Deutschen Theater in Berlin under the artistic direction of Thomas Ostermeier and Jens Hillje.

Yvonne Griesel

Board Member

Surtitler, translator and interpreter, Berlin

works as a freelance surtitler, translator and interpreter. With her company SPRACHSPIEL, she specialises in translating foreign-language productions for festivals and guest performances. She translates for theatre and opera, as well as for major publishing houses, from Russian and French. She is a member of the VDÜ, the DG, the ITI and the board of Drama Panorama. She taught at Humboldt University for seven years. Her publications and further information about authors she translated can be found on her website www.sprachspiel.org.

 

Nora Hertlein-Hull

Board Member

Head of Theatertreffen, Berlin

 

studied theatre, film and media studies as well as Romance languages in Vienna and Bologna, and social and cultural analysis as a Fulbright scholar at New York University. She has worked in international festival production with the Nature Theater of Oklahoma (New York), Vegard Vinge and Ida Müller (Oslo/Berlin), Salzburger Festspiele, Romeo Castellucci and the Schaubühne Berlin as production manager and international touring director. From 2018 to 2023, she curated the international programme and the Lessingtage festival at the Thalia Theater Hamburg. Since the beginning of 2024, she has been Head of the Theatertreffen at the Berliner Festspiele.

 

Jan Linders

Board Member

Head of Programme/Events at the Humboldt Forum Foundation in the Berliner Schloss.

 

The Hamburg native studied theatre under Robert Wilson, Heiner Müller, Andrea Breth and Achim Freyer, worked for 10 years in private theatres, 10 years as a dramaturg in the Berlin and international independent scene, and 10 years as a director of acting in Heidelberg and Karlsruhe, most recently as chief dramaturg and deputy general director. He was involved in the board of the Dramaturgische Gesellschaft and the European Theatre Convention and has been on the board of the ITI since 2018. Since 2019, Jan Linders has been head of programming/events at the Humboldt Forum Berlin.

 

Felicitas Loewe

Former artistic director of the tjg.theater junge generation, Dresden

studied theatre studies at Humboldt University in Berlin. She was a dramaturge at Theater Stralsund, Volksbühne Berlin, carrousel Theater at the Parkaue Berlin and chief dramaturge at theater junge generation Dresden. From 2008 to 2025, she was Artistic Director of tjg.theater junge generation Dresden.

Stawrula Panagiotaki

Board Member

Head of studiobühneköln, Cologne

 

Stawrula Panagiotaki studied modern German literature, modern Greek studies and German as a foreign language at the Freie Universität Berlin. From 2009 to 2013, she worked as an assistant and dramaturge at Schauspiel Köln. She also worked as a dramaturge at Theater Bonn, Staatstheater Darmstadt and for the Berlin Theatertreffen. In independent contexts, she worked as a dramaturge with the COSTA COMPAGNIE, the feminist collective SWOOSH LIEU and regularly with MOUVOIR/Stephanie Thiersch. From 2016 to 2023, Panagiotaki was engaged as a dramaturge at Schauspiel Köln, where she also managed the ‘Britney’ venue, among other things. Since 2023, Stawrula Panagiotaki has been Head of studiobühneköln.

Nina Reiprich

Co-director of fluctoplasma Festival, freelance curator, Hamburg

Nina Reiprich studied cultural and social anthropology and theatre studies in Munich and has since been involved in multi-perspective and transcultural cultural projects. Since 2020, she has been part of the interdisciplinary fluctoplasma festival in Hamburg, which she has been developing and directing together with Dan Thy Nguyen since 2021. Since 2022, she has also been advising and supporting international artists who are funded by the Hamburg scholarship programme INTRO.

Sophia Stepf

Artistic director at flinnworks, Berlin

 

Sophia Stepf studied dramaturgy and initially worked for international theatre festivals. Since 2006, she has been the Artistic Director and director of Flinn Works (Berlin). From 2013 to 2018, she curated the independent theatre festival Schwindelfrei in Mannheim. Since 200, she has regularly conceived and curated theatre projects and training courses in India, including for the Goethe-Institut in (transcultural) dramaturgy, play development and feminist leadership. She lives with her family in Berlin.
