The Media Studio is the digitisation and documentation department of the german Center of ITI and closely linked to the work of the Media Library for Dance and Theatre. Video and photo digitisation, editing and archiving are professionally prepared and carried out here.

Along with documentations of dance and theatre productions, festivals and symposiums produced by the Media Studio, the staff are also responsible for the technical planning and implementation of digital events, presentations and discussion formats.

The staff at the Media Studio advise artists, researchers and archives in the areas of digitisation and the digital preservation of media, the sorting and archiving of objects, as well as the creation of collections. In various networks, they discuss and develop technical description standards for data of the performing arts with international experts.

As a part of the Media Library for Dance and Theatre, the Media Studio is an ITI Germany project, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM).
