If you want a better life you must live a better life.
In this German-Bulgarian cooperation the three choreographers and performers Iva Sveshtarova, Willy Prager and Martin Stiefermann ask what a better life could be like. The piece raises questions on mobilty. It is based on interviews held with German senior citizens facing old-age poverty living in Bulgaria, and young Bulgarians who came to Germany to work.
The performance is a result of the research project LUXUS-WEG, funded within the programme Szenenwechsel and a co-prodcution between MS Schrittmacher from Berlin and DNK and ACT Association, Sofia.

It is possible to book an individual counselling session specifically about the working situation in Berlin. German cultural institutions collaborating with artists who recently arrived here can also use the services.

Culture Action Europe (CAE) believes that the EU's support for non-profit cultural projects and European networks under the new funding period 2021 to 2027 is seriously at risk.
The reason for these fears is the introduction in 2018 of a new evaluation matrix for the financial strength of organisations in the cultural and creative sector applying for EU funding. CAE now calls for a review of the assessment of the financial capacity of applicant organisations to ensure that EU funding programmes remain accessible to all cultural operators in Europe. More
