Oppositionelle Theaterleute in Weißrussland verhaftet

One of the bravest theatre groups today is the Belarus Free theatre, which has recently toured in many European countries. Now, we can read this on their home page, written 10-12-20:

"Natalya Kalyada, the Director of the Free Theatre of Belarus was arrested today in the Square of Independency in Minsk during the ruthless dispertion of the peaceful demonstration against falsification of the Presidential Election. At this time it has not been established where she was taken.

All members of the Free Theatre of Belarus demand immediate release of Natalya Kalyada and all others who were arrested today

Now, the news reached us that Natalya Kayada is free but that Artem Zheleznyak is still in prison and is sentenced to 11 days in prison for participation in the demonstration last Sunday.

Let us all protest against this way of prohibiting the freedom of speech of artists!
