Johanna Spyri´s "Heidi" is the embodiment of the peaceful homeland and of the innocence of childhood - the idyllic picture of snow-capped peaks and under a blue sky.

Kann Heidi brauchen, was es gelernt hat? explores the other side of this cliché and takes us in a musical trip - alpenhorns, screeding of wood, cowbells etc - on the traces of the home land which has remained pure and tries to understand the Heidi phenomenon.

A production supported by the Experimental Fund for Music Theatre, an initiative of the Office for Culture in North Rhine-Westphalia and the Art Foundation of North Rhine-Westphalia (kunststiftung NRW) in cooperation with the Theatre of Bielefeld.
