Mabuse...? War das nicht dieser Spieler in der Weltwirtschaftskrise? Und was machen die Spieler in der Weltwirtschaftskrise? Die Finanzkrise ist eine turbulente Verwechslungskomödie. Es ist die ehrliche Überraschung über das Irrationale in einer Umgebung reiner Rationalität. Aber was wird denn hier verwechselt? Es ist doch gar nichts da! Das riecht nach Marktfundamentalismus! „… Wie schön man sich täuschen kann: Dieser Abend ist von einer anrührenden Komik und verblüffenden Intelligenz, ein kleines, aber singuläres Theaterereignis.“ (Der Tagesspiegel)

RENÉ POLLESCH, geboren 1962, studierte Angewandte Theaterwissenschaften in Gießen. 1996 Arbeitsstipendium am Royal Court Theatre London mit Seminaren bei Harold Pinter, Caryl Churchill u.a. In der Spielzeit 1999/2000 war er Hausautor am Luzerner Theater, im Herbst 2000 Hausautor am Deutschen Schauspielhaus Hamburg. Seit der Spielzeit 2001/02 gestaltet Pollesch das Programm des Praters der Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin.  Pollesch wurde in der Kritikerumfrage der Zeitschrift Theater Heute 2002 zum besten deutschen Dramatiker gewählt.
